Be careful what you feed your brain.
Imagine putting a post-it note on your bathroom mirror that said, "I want to die a humiliating and painful death today." We don't say this to ourselves, but we do say bad things in our head. Others can be rude, but we can be vicious. Think about what you think. Do you say things to yourself that you wouldn't say to a child?
Much of my counseling is spent helping people cut through years of false training about who they are & what they are able to do. A good portion of my years has also been spent helping folks navigate new and terrifying experiences - like death issues.
I work with chronic illness, cancer, depression, those who've taken a life through accident/line-of-duty/malice, divorce/separation, grief, heartache/obsession, post-abortion/miscarriage, survivor's guilt. Along with features that are well treated with hypnosis like quitting tobacco use and stress & phobia treatment.
I also do couple's counseling, life overhaul, and the usual gamut of counseling subjects.
